About Yukthi

Today, we see a whole new generation of youngsters in the race of global competition. They are researching brand new career avenues by breaking the traditional path of education. They want innovative alternatives and the best deals. Yukthi was started by Valmiki Group in 2010 that hosted one of its kinds of education fair in the history of global education. The idea of education fairs was for the attendees who are looking to find out more about the schools and programs which they are interested in.

Yukthi 2010 took place for the first time in Nov 2010 that showcased the full spectrum of educational horizons. It provided an insight into current subjects and courses available to new-generation students and threw light on various schemes and programmes being offered by the USA education system. Irrespective of the problem areas, the USA has always been the hottest destination for the Indian and International students. The quality of education, wide range of specialization, flexibility, large campuses, & friendly atmosphere.

Highlights of Yukthi 2010

About 40+ universities had participated in Yukthi 2010, the USA exclusive education fair that attracted people from all sectors of education to explore the global opportunity. It helped students to interact with internationally renowned University Delegates. At the same time; many submitted the application with Special application fee waiver for spot admission.

The Yukthi, 2010 exclusive USA education fair had session on Engineering & IT, Business & Management, Life Sciences & Biomedicine, Arts & ,& Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. There were also one-on-one meetings between representatives of foreign universities and Indian students.

The Fair witnessed institutions from abroad showcasing courses and campuses. Local students and parents had the opportunity to meet local educators, school representatives and representative from overseas universities and institutions to ask questions about various courses, visas, cultural matters, etc. and other issues. Approximately 500 visitors attended the fair.

The Yukthi, 2010 exclusive USA education fair was specifically designed for university chancellors, presidents, provosts, deans, recruitment officers, and their executive-level team members.

Valmiki Group has always taken the initiative to promote overseas eductaion. This time, we thought of took the opportunity to conduct Yukthi education fair, 2011, the multi country fair that will really attracted hundreds and thousands of students across India. About 60+ universities had participated the education fair that attracted about 1000+ people from all sectors of education to explore the global opportunity.

Highlights of Yukthi 2011

About 60+ universities from 7 countries like USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Ukraine and Russia were gathered under one roof to offer the nest programs for Indian students. Most comprehensive educational event of its kind ever held in India. It was considered to be the biggest networking event for leaders in education from around the World. It witnessed the convergence of who is who of the huge Indian educational system.

The fair had an attendance of estimated 1000 Indian students interested for overseas education. Recruitment sessions involving one-on-one meetings with Indian students were the highlight of the event. A student survey after the event gave highlights of the quality of information shared with students regarding programs, internship opportunity, work options, visa etc.

Not only for students, the event also focused on parents concerns while sending their children abroad for higher education, in this regard Valmiki was successful in gathering the banking institutions , money transfer and money changing agencies, insurance agencies, detailed visa information for all countries, specialized training institutes like IELTS, GRE. TOEFL etc.

Organizing education fair cannot be successful without a planned promotion strategy. The marketing strategy to promote the universities participating involved the following.

1. Large scale advertising campaigns in leading newspapers, television, radio and other electronic media.
2. Listing in major social networking internet sites.
3. Mailers being sent to chancellors, vice principal, deans of leading colleges.
4. Emails and SMS to our database of students and educational institutions etc.
5. Pre event and during the event press conferences for wide reach and awareness.
6. Promotions in schools, colleges and other institutes through banners, posters and visits.

With our core strength in organizing events related to spot admissions, Interactive advising sessions, one-to-one interviews with universities' officials within Hyderabad, the seminars on various issues like student visas etc., Valmiki group has been at the forefront of increasing student awareness, business development for universities and lateral growth of the field of overseas education.

Gateway to America - through the hands of Chief Minister!

The 'Organisers' division of Valmiki Group has earned another feather in its illustrious cap recently. Dr.Arun C. Vakil, Hon.Director of the Group has published a new 2006 edition of his ever-popular 'Gateway to America'. The new edition was launched in Andhra Pradesh, by the Hon. Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday, the 30th June, in his chambers. Present during this occasion were Dr.Arun C. Vakil, Mr. Ganesh Valmiki, CMD of Valmiki Group.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister expressed the hope that the new edition will be a big success. He also wished that Dr. Arun C Vakil and Valmiki Group become more popular and keep up the good work they have been doing for the student community.

Later in the evening, on the same day, a seminar on U.S Visas was conducted at Birla Science Auditorium, which was attended in large numbers by the students of tri-cities. A public launch of the book 'Gateway to America' was released to the public by the Chief Guest of the evening and Hon. Minister for Labour and Employment, Sri G. Vinod Kumar. Mr. Nrupender Rao, Chairperson of M/s Pennar Group of Industries was the Guest of Honour.

The keynote message was given Dr. Arun C. Vakil, who has given a detailed presentation on various types of visas and how to obtain them in a proper manner. The Question-answer session at the end of the seminar was a huge success, with all the students and their parents participating enthusiastically.

As part of this ongoing process, the following events were conducted.

Free Counseling by the officials of University of North Alabama, USA was done by Dr. Dan Howard, Vice President of the university, on 2nd February 2006 at Valmiki Group's corporate office. Eligible students were given 'Preliminary offer letters' immediately after counseling. This greatly helped students to plan their visa process, well in advance.

US Universities Education Fair, at Hotel Minerva Grand, S.D. Road, Secunderabad, on 11th February 2006. Officials representing more than 30 universities in USA have met students in this hugely successful Education Fair. Representatives of reputed universities such as, University of Missouri Rolla, Old Dominion University Saginaw Valley State University National University Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus SUNY, Oneonta, and others. Hundreds of students, numbering more than 300 have participated in the Fair, sought information, clarifications and obtained assistance from the officials directly and from the International Education division of Valmiki Group. Needless to say, the event was a grand success, with mutual satisfaction among the officials and students alike. The event was extensively covered in Electronic Media like Television, Newspapers and in personal interviews as 'News Clippings' in popular regional TV channels such as TEJA, TV9 etc.

Spot Admissions in University of Abertay, Dundee, Scotland on 17th February 2006, at the British Education Fair, Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad.

Several enthusiastic students participated in the British Education Fair, in which University of Abertay Dundee's Mr. Harry Staines and Dr. Joe Akunna have conducted interviews and gave on-the-spot admissions to Valmiki Group's students and others.

Montana State University, Bozeman's Spot interviews of aspiring students, on 21st February 2006, at Valmiki Group's offices in Secunderabad and Punjagutta.

One of the leading universities in USA, Montana State University's Dr. Michael Oudshoorm Head of the Department of Computer Science and Ms. Elizabeth K. Blanchford, International Programs Specialist have specially visited only Valmiki Group's and its associate offices in Hyderabad to conduct spot interviews and interact with aspiring students of Hyderabad. More than 100 students vied for personal meetings and review of their applications, which was a highly successful event for the Organisers division of Valmiki Group.
