Dr. Ashok Agarwal

Dr. Ashok Agarwal is a Gold medalist in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and did his Masters and Doctoral Program from University of Minnesota. He started his career with Bell Telephone Laboratories followed by Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta as a Professor of MIS during 1969 to 1986.

He was involved in guiding thesis for several doctoral candidates. During this period he was also Project coordinator for Computer Aided Management center sponsored by DOE and UNDP and was a member of the Board of Governors of IIM, Calcutta for four years.

Dr. Agarwal taught at Northeastern University in the management school for two years and was Ford Fellow at MIT USA and University of Minnesota as Research Scholar.. He was founding Director of Indian Institute of Port Management at Calcutta under Indian Ports Association. He was consultant to numerous organizations and member of various academic and parliamentary committees like Railway Reforms Committee, Parliamentary Committee for Chief controller of Imports and Exports , UGC Committee for evaluation of M Tech Program at IT BHU and ISI and DOE committee for evaluation of CAM program at IIM Ahemdabad and ASCI Hyderabad..

As an entrepreneur, from 1986 onwards Dr. Agarwal was involved in setting up various IT organizations in India Like ACS Technologies Ltd, Era Software Systems (P) Ltd (a software product company and took the US counter part for IPO on Nasdaq ) and Cyber Media India Ltd. ( publisher of Data Quest ) ( IPO in 2005) He was founder of SQL Star International and worked there as Managing Director till 2003 and exited from the company at that time. Took the company for an IPO in the year 1998 .

Dr. Agarwal was Chairman of Division V, Data Communication during 2003-2005 in Execom of CSI and Convener of CSI - Nihilent e-Governance awards. He was Event Chairman for the Annual convention of Computer Society of India (CSI 2005) at Hyderabad during 2005 and currently chairman of Special Interest Group on e-Governance for CSI and representing CSI in IFIP TC8.

Dr. Agarwal was on the Board of School of Management Studies Central University ; Andhra Mahila Sabha School of Informatics , Osmania University; Academic advisory committee of Shiv Shivani School of management and Andhra mahila sabha arts and science college and guru nanak College of engineering. He is member of Governing Council of Badruka Education Society . He is on the Board of Cyber Media India Ltd ]; Reliance Cellulose Ltd and several other organizations. He is founding Board member on Engineers without borders of India and currently Chairman of the same and founding member Gothe Gentrum (Association of German Culture)

Ranjan Sood (M.Com, MBA)

Social Activities

Lion Ranjan Sood has been instrumental in organizing Health checkups camps from time to time for students, police personnel and General public and is also an advisory member of NIMH (National Institute of Mentally handicapped).

He is also the coordinator between government and lions for the adoption of Bala jyothi school run in urban slums of Hyderabad and is a philanthropist and Has donated blood to the needy more than 32 times.

He was awarded international lions award for being the first lion at latur During the earthquake disaster serving the injured and distressed victims.

He is a life member of ISKCON

"Karishma" his second daughter who is a special child [Down’s syndrome] has been The motivating force behind his commitmentto the needy and poor. Trained to Hanle special children physically handicapped and in activity training.

He motivates and counsels parents with special children or children with special needs.

Besides having "Kindle School" an inclusive education school, his dream project Is to start a "school for creative learning and a vocational centre "for Down’s syndrome children with a senior citizen’s home and aprimary health center

"Karishma’s-centre for creative learning" Is a humble beginning of the cherished dream.

Starting national level schools to impact international quality education at Hyderabad is a project in the making.

Service to humanity is his motto of life.

Ekta Goel, Associate Scientist

Highly skilled, accomplished analyst with experience providing significant contributions to advance scientific investigations to enhance research practices.

Ms Ekta Goel has completed her Masters of Science, Analytical Chemistry from Mississippi State University, Mississippi State, MS. With full tuition fee waiver and scholarships. Very focused on research and development areas form the beginning of her career she has worked as research assistant in various fields. She started her career as an undergraduate research assistant during her bachelors and was actively involved in chromatographic techniques and formulation of drugs. Later her aspiration to reach research at international level, she went on to do her Masters in Analytical Chemistry from Mississippi State University, Mississippi State, MS where she was actively involved in research projects.

She has worked as Sr Associate Scientist at Life Technologies, Grand Island, NY where she designed, planned and executed projects on SimCell, Hamilton Liquid handler, 24 well plate CHO panel and flask experiments to improve titers varying batch and fed batch process parameters and/or designing novel media.

Devbarna Sinha

Research Scientist (Ph.D.)
John Curtin School of Medical Research (Australian National University), Canberra, Australia and the Peter Maccullum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia

Devbarna Sinha, successfully completed MSc in Molecular Genetics from University of Leicester (2006-07) with first class and distinction (77%). Her capability to undertake research and to report and analyze the findings has made her contribute to the field of research through various projects. She is currently designated as Research Scientist (Ph.D.) at John Curtin School of Medical Research (Australian National University), Canberra, Australia and the Peter Maccullum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia.

She did a 8 month research project under the supervision of Dr. Celia May in the laboratory of Prof Sir Alec Jeffreys titled ‘‘A novel strategy to detect de novo deletions in the human male germline’ which sought to establish a method to detect large scale deletions across the human genome, provide a view of the mechanism of genetic rearrangements and to in turn throw some light on the effects of such variation on generating genetic diversity during the course of evolution.

She was a Member of Bioresearch (Europe) team at Ocimum Biosolutions Private Limited (a genomics solutions provider catering to the global academia market) from April 2009 – September 2010.

She was also a Member of Business development solutions for the in vitro biology team at GVK Biosciences Private Limited (one of India’s premier contract research organizations providing drug discovery and clinical research services across the Pharma value chain) from March 2008 – April 2009.

Achievement: Winner of a ‘Reward and Recognition award from the President for a number of innovative contributions to the team (July 08).

She has completed her B. Sc. Biotechnology (2003-06) from Vellore institute of Technology, India with first class and distinction (CGPA-9.03) where she was awarded Merit Scholarship and Certificate of excellence for the best academic performance.

Active member of the Youth Red Cross Society and GreenPeace - took lead initiative in plantation activities & wildlife conservation awareness campaigns.

She manages and guides the Ph.D. division of VALMIKI GROUP.
