The main campus of Newcastle College is at Rye Hill, located between Scotswood Road to the South and Westmorland Road to the North. The College has two campuses: Rye Hill and Sandy ford. Most of our courses are based at main Rye Hill Campus.

Availability of On-campus Housing
Students can arrange their own accommodation but should apply for accommodation in advance, preferably when an unconditional offer is received for course from the college. Can also apply by filling out the Accommodation Application form and the College can signpost to accommodation and support with application for accommodation. Many of the residences that you will be signposted to are within walking distance of the College, for example:

- Lynnwood Terrace
- Summer hill House

Estimated Cost of Living
The estimated cost of living per academic year (9 months) is £6,000 including accommodation, food, clothing, books, entertainment and travel. Where gas and/or electricity charges are not included in the rent, please allow an average of £10 per week.
Special Notes
- In addition to a 'Fee Loan' which enables you to defer payment of tuition fees, UK students are entitled to a maintenance loan to help pay for living expenses such as accommodation, food, and travel.
- The money for both loans comes from the government via the Student Loans Company, and does not have to be paid back until you have graduated, and are earning £15,000 per year.
- All eligible students can receive 75% of the maximum loan - regardless of any other income.
- The remaining 25% depends on your household income and where you live. Please note that the maintenance loan will be reduced by £1 for every £1 of maintenance grant a student receives, up to a maximum reduction of £1,260.
