Scholarships/Financial Aid availability for int. students:
The objective of the Scholarship is to enable academically gifted students possessing creative flair with personal characteristics to enable them to fulfill an ambassadorial role for UCLan. The successful candidate should demonstrate the capability of forging a successful career in the creative arena and develop strong links with industry and influential figures in their relevant field.
Entry criteria:
- Applicants must hold a 2.1 hons degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Must meet entry criteria of course
- Demonstrate their potential through proving a portfolio of the highest level.
- Have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
- Provide a written statement covering the following:
- An overview of the external influences on his/her creative work
- How a postgraduate course will help contribute to their personal/professional development/future career
- As an ambassador of the University how they could help promote the opportunities to students from Hong Kong to study in the UK. The scholarship is for one year and therefore covers one full year tuition fees, but excludes living costs.
Availability of part-time jobs on campus:
The futures team at UCLan provides impartial and confidential careers advice, information, guidance and support to all UCLan students and graduates. And as a member of the national AGCAS Mutual Aid scheme, the service is currently free and available to students or graduates from any higher education institutions.

Availability of On-campus Housing:
The two main types of accommodation are: University owned accommodation, University registered accommodation. The University has 2187 accommodation places for first year students in halls of residence, all within the heart of the main campus, or very closes by. Each hall - owned or leased by the University - is self-catering and prices include all fuel and water bills.N.B. - First year students wishing to be placed in any University owned OR University leased hall MUST complete an Accommodation Application form. This will automatically be sent to you when you accept an offer of a place at UCLAN and if we are your first choice. There is a telephone in 1900 rooms; an additional 300 rooms require students to purchase an internet telephone (approx £10), allowing free internal calls, IPTV, free Hi-speed Internet, including direct access to your university network and email account. Every bedroom in our accommodation also has a study desk and chair, chest of drawers, wardrobe, wash hand basin, whilst Roeburn Hall and University Leased Halls are fully en-suite in every bedroom. There are also adapted rooms in the halls for those students with disabilities. Every resident has 24 hour access to university Security.
Special Notes:
For most courses, University offers an early payment bursary. Payment in full - Early payment bursary £300. Payment in two installments - Charge of £150.
A reduction of 20% off the standard tuition fee for the course will be available for all students who enroll on a postgraduate programme at the University of Central Lancashire who have previously completed an appropriate award of the University
