California State University, Chico is the second-oldest campus in the CSU system, and is located in Chico, California, about 90 miles north of Sacramento. Created by an 1887 legislative act as the Northern Branch State Normal School of California and built on eight acres of land donated by General John Bidwell, the institution's doors first opened on September 3, 1889 for an entering class of 90 students. The library was opened on January 11, 1890 and housed a total of 350 books, and on June 20, 1891, the first graduation was held for a class of 15.

In 1921, the school's name was changed to Chico State Teacher's College. Fourteen years later, in 1935, the name changed again to Chico State College, and then, in 1972, Chico State College officially became California State University, Chico, although it is commonly known as Chico State or Cal State, Chico.

Today, the CSU, Chico campus covers 119 acres with another 1,040 acres making up the University Farm. The university has a student population of over 15,000 from 33 states and 57 nations, and Meriam Library houses 956,146 volumes and 1.27 million historical documents.

Accreditation:- At the institutional level, CSU, Chico is accredited by the Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

CSU, Chico is in the process of affirming its accreditation by WASC. Under the new WASC accreditation review process, CSU, Chico is developing an Institutional Presentation composed of the materials of the three stages of review: the Proposal, the Capacity and Preparatory Review, and the Educational Effectiveness Review.

The Chico Institutional Presentation is organized around our vision, mission, and strategic priorities to demonstrate our commitment to institutional capacity and educational effectiveness, our ability to align performance with our priorities and educational objectives, and our resolve to improve as a learning organization.

Valmiki is awesome. They just helped me a lot in various things. Mainly Valmiki staff helped me from starting of process till the end. I just got my visa all because of them without their mock test I wouldn’t have gone through my visa properly. Moreover their suggestions really worth a lot. Finally they are very patience, very kind people, calm, helping nature. Thanks a lot to Valmiki staff.

Before visiting Valmiki, I searched for information regarding studying in Australia. It was informative but I needed firsthand information from someone who had prior experience in Australian Education. I was very happy and convinced to meet Valmiki counselors who were very knowledgeable and supportive. I got chance to meet many university Officials from Australia. Valmiki organized all events very regularly and systematically.
