Molloy College has grown steadily since its foundation by the Dominican Sisters of Amityville over fifty years ago. Thanks to the encouragement and support of Archbishop Thomas E. Molloy, Bishop of Brooklyn, the Sisters welcomed their first class of forty-four freshmen in 1955. The College was originally chartered as Molloy Catholic College for Women. Molloy College has continued to grow in both form and function over the last half century. As the College ends its 50th Anniversary in 2006, plans are underway for continued growth and expansion. Over the past 50 years, Molloy College has undergone a transformation to meet student needs. They have evolved into a dynamic learning institution with outstanding faculty, state-of-the-art-technology and distinguished academic programs. We offer degrees in many areas including Business, Education, Criminal Justice, the Allied Health Sciences and Computer Information Systems. We will challenge you with progressive programs in Psychology, Theology and Philosophy, as well as, History and Political Science, Music Therapy and Mathematics. And Molloy College proudly boasts the fourth largest Nursing Program in the nation.

Admission Information:-
TOEFL: - Evaluations from other agencies will not be accepted. For students whose native language is not English the TOEFL exam will be required, with a minimum score of 500.
Test Information: - An ACT or SAT score report for all students.
IELTS: - Required.
International students who will be applying for an I-20 (certificate of eligibility for F-1 status) must provide documentation of available funds and support
Athletes & Scholars
Molloy College students are Lions, because of the pride they have in our Athletic Program. Our athletes compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) and the East Coast Conference (ECC), formerly known as the New York College Athletic Conference (NYCAC).
Scholarships/Financial Aid availability for int. students: Yes
Availability of On-campus Housing: Yes
Some housing opportunities are available in local private homes. Students who need to relocate or who must travel long distances to the Molloy Campus can usually be accommodated. Lists of most rentals are available in the Student Development Center.
Campus safety level for students: - yes. Molloy College's Public Safety Department Console is located on the 1st floor of the Kellenberg Building. The Public Safety Department has a full time staff consisting of one chief, 3 tour supervisors, and 19 security officers. Officers are licensed by the State of New York and are trained, certified and registered pursuant to the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992. The Department serves the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week year-round.
