4) If you are told to cover specific points in your essay/letter - cover every point, examiners actually count them.
5) Don’t overuse connecting words (like However, Furthermore, Moreover, etc) - examiners are watching for you to do that.
Speaking - interview tips
1) Display you best English.
2) In the discussion round speak until they stop you, don’t just answer the question and stop.
3) Keep Smiling and don’t show the interviewer that you are tensed.
4) Maintain good tone quality
5) Maintain Eye Contact with the interviewer.
6) Do not speak lengthy and complex sentences.
7) Furnish answers with examples wherever needed.
Listening Module:
1) Listen very attentively.
2) Read the questions when you are given the time to.
3) Always read the instructions beforehand.
4) Write the correct spellings in the right case.
5) Never write two answers for one question. Do so only when you are instructed to.
6) Try not to leave any question unanswered.
7) Never get stuck with any question. If you are unable to get the answer go to the next question immediately.
Reading Module:
1) Read the headings of the passages to get an idea about the passage.
2) Read the instructions carefully before starting to answer.
3) Do not write more than three words as answers to questions which ask only for three word answers.
4) When matching headings to passages always quickly read the paragraph and check which point is emphasized more.
5) Always use Scanning and Skimming methods to find answers.
6) Try and understand the sentences in your own words to write the correct answers.
